We consider urban spaces as dynamic systems, and study and implement ways of controlling dynamic flow and information communication in the city.

One of the important components of a city is “information”. In modern cities, it is important to freely communicate information beyond distance and time constraints, and to analyze the obtained information informatically and mathematically. In this area, based on the results of key academic fields related to “information” such as informatics, communication engineering and mathematical analysis, we undertake practical and specialized education and research related to cities, including efficient information search technology, improvement of comfort and reliability of the information communication infrastructure, and modeling and simulation techniques for description and prediction of environment.

Main research areas

  • Urban Mathematical Systems
  • Urban Information Systems
  • Urban Communication Systems
  • Remote Sensing Integrated Analysis
